The rules in Saskatchewan
In Saskatchewan, no online gaming platform is legal except PlayNow.com. No private site shares that legal status. PlayNow.com is run by the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority, known as SIGA. Its provincial launch came in November 2022. SIGA's online exclusivity was extended to September 2029.
Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan (LGS) oversees every lottery and all gaming across the province. Its regulator is SLGA (Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority). Of Saskatchewan's nine permanent casinos, seven are First Nations casinos under SIGA, and SaskGaming runs Casinos Regina and Moose Jaw. Gambling becomes legal at 19 in Saskatchewan, so the casinos and PlayNow.com both carry a 19+ limit.
Casino Regina and online play
Casinos Regina and Moose Jaw offer gaming only at their physical locations. Neither has an online casino. The casino names playnow.com as Saskatchewan's only legal gaming website. It also warns about fake ads and apps that use its name.
Game Break is SaskGaming's voluntary, confidential self-exclusion program. For 6 months to 5 years, a person bars themselves from every provincial casino and from PlayNow.com. It does not cover a private online site. To enrol, a person can go to Security or Customer Service at the casino, or book a meeting with a GameSense staff member at 306-787-2122. Once in effect, the exclusion cannot be shortened or removed.
How this guide is paid
Ad marks each paid link, and no page but the home page holds one. The count is three. The menu holds a button; one block sits after the first screen, and another comes just before the end of the page. Each of them leads to the same partner, a privately owned online casino. The guide collects a commission from it, and a different partner may later take its place.
This guide does not take bets or hold accounts. The partner is not PlayNow, and no provincial body runs or licenses it. Casino Regina, SaskGaming, LGS, SIGA and SLGA have no link to it.
